Just a few things I wanted to talk about on here quick..from a co guildmaster and raid leaders point of view..
Right now my main priority is making DN home again and having people feel that they are welcomed..
One thing I want to make a point of saying is DN is not a raiding guild we are a guild that Raids..there is a huge difference there. I know we havnt advanced to the others and I know that some people would love to advance trust me Rog and I would love nothing more than that to happen..but here is the problem guys...We get these 25 mans schedualed and we dont have people that show up and the thing is we dont have enough people on mains that can replace for those that show up...If you guys can outrightedly show Rogannon and I that there is 25 Geared mains that will show up and be there on time that is somthing we will definatly push for again...but that is the thing guys..
For the last week Rogannon has had a post in the guild message of the day telling people to let us know your availability by simply answering a small questionare nothing huge..To be honest we have had 15 responses..For a guild that wants to run 25 mans that is sad...We are dedicated to helping this guild progress in raids but what we need is the dedication from our fellow guild mates as well. So please ease up on the frustration with Rog and I we are honestly trying our best to get peoples mains geared but we cant schedual if we dont have peoples scheduals..
With that being said if you as a guild really want these 25 man raids to work out then please get on your fellow guild mates butts to fill out that form so we can start working with it...But we arent going to do so until we have a firm and available 25 man raiding list..
Now to making DN home... DN for as long as I can remember has been family to me..not because its a guild but because I have grown to love a lot of the members in here as friends. That is what I strive to make DN known for. And that is somthing I dont want anyone to forget. I want to keep the drama down and the love level up if you get what I mean. So cooperation and suggestions are surely welcome..but lets keep the negativity levels down. On that note DN members I am glad to know you and if you guys ever need anything or just someone to chat to in general I am here anytime I am online if you need to talk privatly let me know.. I will divide my time as best as I can.. For those of you that dont know my real name is Nikki feel free to call me that or you can contact me on any of my characters.. I agree with Dydra 100%.
If we want to progress we have got to get the people wanting to show up on a regular basis to raid. That includes filling out the EXTREMELY simple form at www.draconusnoir.info so that rog can schedule the raids a bit easier.
On a side note that sort of ties in with this.
Some people have mentioned that the reason for us not progressing is that everyone wants to gear their alts more than they want to move on. That is not it at all. The problem is that most of the core group of 15-20 who are always showing up to canceled raids and filling out the forms have multiple alts that they run, sometimes more than once a week. Many of them are trying DESPERATELY to help us gear people so that we can start running bigger raids. I know that John-Rogannon is one of them. The poor guy loves to tank, but specs holy so that he can heal and take people through these raids. All so that we can progress.
Until we have forms filled out by enough geared classes to run grulls it will not be scheduled.
Thank you Nikki for saying something that needs to be said.
And Thank you John for taking time out of your schedule to set up these raids to make the game fun for the rest of us.. it is a thankless job and i appriciate the fact that you and previously nikki have done that for us
I have to say the part that dydra has put forward about DN being a family is inspiring because in my history in guilds its very rare to see that and of all my time i have been in DN i have seen alot of that communication with one another, respect, getting involved in activities, and most importantly helping one another and getting along with them.
Of course i have seen debates about some topics but thats natural and i've seen that sometimes as though you see someone too much and get on each other nerves like me when i first came into this family i was quiet, shy and didnt know too many people but it grew and got stronger and i am proud to see it and to be part of the family.

I have filled this out, on submit it returns to the same page with all fields cleared out.
Dydra, I said this earlier on another thread but i feel it should be seen everywhere. We are family guild that raids, with a great bunch of type "A's" and I'd like to thank them all for their help and encourgement. A special thanks to Rog & Alykat. They took me in hand and taught me how dress right for a night out..:} But that is just a small example of what this guild has done for my toon, and ME. Kelley invited me into the guild and ran me through her inquistion for membership...lol I told her that so long as she was a part of this guild I would always be here. Well things have transpired that has caused her to to leave us for awhile, to return to us again one day. But you and the others still hold on to what she created this for, and so for as long as her spirit remains with the guild!!! So will I. Good Hunting and lets move ahead the way she wants us to!!!
I really want to address the alts issue... this comes from someone who has felt INCREDIBLY bad for guild members who have stood outside of Raids only to be dissappointed when we could not continue because we have not had the correct mix to proceed.
Many know this, but some may not yet, but the bossfights in these raids REQUIRE certain abilities to keep them from becoming wipe-fests. I have had for the last few months the LUXARY of players with multiple chars, willing to switch off as needed to complete the group. Many times havng to respec and buy additional raid supplies. They do this unselfishly for the good of the group. They deserve HUGE THANKS!!! Please though, before the finger is pointed about "gearing up alts", remember most of these alts were leveled with the intent of being able to switch-off and fill holes.
Ok I usually don't post anything on here but this is my own opinion... hence the word opinion. I understand that there must be certain gear in order to run raids and such. But why is it that when people who have numerous alts in the upper eshalon get their toons geared and are able switch out but yet leave some people who may be well geared to run such raids get left out? I have begun to see this repeatedly over and over again. As for being a family guild yes it is a very nice guild to be in, however I feel bad enough as it is not being able to commit to do anything. I know you all do what you can to make the raids out right, however there are other people in the guild who needs to get the good gear to and get the chance like everyone else. As I stated before its just my opinion. I for one would like to see a couple people think about doing heroic runs during the week for those who needs the gear to get into kara. I know my words may not always mean anything but I have been through so many guilds that have failed or disbanded because of issues like these. Keep up the good work you all do as I will probably not post on here again for awhile.
I Completly agree with that statement. Maybe we could come up with sum kinda list to ppl who need gear from heroic runs and raids alike....ofcourse in all fairness these ppl wouldnt hav obsolute priority in raids and heroics....but it might give the raid leaders a better idea on who to put in, and ultimatly would help the guild in getting more gear players for bigger raids.
I am going to say this is the most honest fashion I can think of...
...show you are committed to raiding and the gear will come. No sense in doing anything to gear someone who's going to have a 50% attendance rate. Casual raider means something like 1-2 nights/week. Not casual as in "Oh, I'll show up if I feel like it".
...if you build it they will come.
...if you reliably show up for raids gear and badges will come.
Ok so I fibbed about not posting again. But I understand what Iafiatoldya is saying. However, what about us who work late and don't make it home in time to do raids? Where does one fit in? I personally would like to raid and be able to get the gear like everyone else on my mage but I don't get home until after you all start. This is why I have asked to have or even concider a run on weekends in the afternoon about 3pm-ish. But like I've stated before I know my words don't mean squat.
Words don't mean squat? What kind of answer is that? There are saturday runs at the moment; and besides, I bet you could get peepz together for runs that fit your schedule, and theirs! You aren't the only late worker bee 'round these parts!
There are a couple of us out there that are geared up and ready to go . I for one am on there all the time on guild chat saying things like "anyone need anything like quest help or instance runs for gear b cuz i have nothing to do and want to help strengthen the guild." Catch me when I'm logged in and I will be a willing part of any party wanting to gear up. The best part about it is that I probably won't roll against you for gear, I'm just looking for something to DPS! Not a strong enough player to run raids as a leader, but i am always looking for a party so I can practice up for the big raids. Mattheya
OK, I will GLADLY make available to ANYONE in this guild who asks... the list that I have put together of people in the guild who want to raid and the times they are available. Next,if I get 10 people that want to raid Kara at 3pm on Sat, I will be more than happy to schedule it. If you want to run at 11:00 am on a weekday I will put it together. REALITY is that it hasn't worked out that way AND the times that are scheduled aren't the perfect times for most, but they are the times when most are avaialable. We have tried other ideas such as shuttling people in and out of raids. THAT, was a friggin nightmare and ended with unfinished raids and people dropping out altogether as well as some even leaving the guild because we could never finish. "I" will not schedule raids like that again, but I will do my level best to continue to include as many as possible with the limited slots I have. I will repeat what I have been saying for months, A N Y O N E who wants to take the job of scheduling the raids is W E L C O M E D to it and will have my full cooperation in taking it over.
As for alts, I thought I had covered that well enough but I guess not and i find that a real shame and yet another total detachment from the reality that the rest of the story is totally ignored. The reality is there are PLENTY of members who have paid their dues OVER AND OVER on their mains TO MOVE OTHERS AHEAD and in quite a few cases only to see them leave the guild for other raiding guilds. MANY of us have passed on items in raids we would have liked to have had, to try to make the guild and its members stronger. Still more participate week after week on chars with NOTHING TO GAIN in an effort to bring others along. For those players, if they wanted to bring a level 60 on the raids and I could make it work I would because THEY DAMNED WELL EARNED IT!!!
Lastly I take it as a PERSONAL INSULT that some of the criticism that is placed here in this forum, has never been brought to me personally. I have made myself available to anyone who has wanted access to me, to anyone who had a suggestion, a criticism, or an idea access to me. What was possible has been acted on, what needed addressing was addressed and those who have wanted to particpate and gotten themselves ready have been given the opportunity to participate. THE FOCUS HAS AND ALWAYS WILL REMAIN ON THE GOOD OF THE GROUPS AND THE GUILD. I would STRONGLY suggest instead of fussing about the people going on alts, you take a moment and THANK them for the time and sacrifice they put in on their mains.

***Rogannon***
100% agree
Another point to this is that when no one is available of a certain class, someone will be able to log in their alt to raid. By gearing up the alts, they will actually be valuable to the raid when the switch is needed.
Ill answer you first Valuair. I know from experience that we are still working on ZA. It is a difficult raid and at this point is sort of a trial by fire, so i dont think that we are scheduling more than one for right now. You can of course get some people together and try to make a run at it, and im sure you will get people who want to go. Right now we are trying to work in the myrmidon members and see where everyone stands before pushing into another ZA raid.
On the other topics of alts and raids scheduled at the improper times.
I agree with Rogannon 100% and he has all of my support in this manner.
Up until about two weeks ago 15 people total filled out the raid form that is required to raid. 15 PEOPLE TOTAL! That is not enough to run grulls and without alts it is certainly not enough to run multiple Kara Groups in a week. I understand the desire to get into raids but without input in a reasonable format we will not progress.
As to the time raids are schedueled: On the raid form it shows times that you are available to raid. Most of us dont get off of work until the late afternoon evening so running Kara early in the day (even on saturday) can be an issue. The reason Saturday Kara was getting canceled is from lack of attendance because things came up with work or family on a weekly basis for about a month and that run just wasn't working too well. Raids are scheduled during a time of maximum availability. I know how some of you feel and my job interferes at times just like yours. But you cant blame a raid scheduler for not having a raid time when you specifically are available if your the only one available to do it.
As to the four hour raid timer: The reason behind this was to allow people to raid but not feel obligated to sit in a raid for hours on end when they had other responsibilites to attend to. We are still working the kinks out on this one as to whether we should have a second night available to run the rest of the raid if you need to finish it up. I have mixed feelings on this. Many dont want to finish up a second night, and some would like shots at Nightbane, Prince, and nethersprite. If you speak with your group and they are willing to go in, hammer out a time and make it happen. Rogannon has already put COUNTLESS hours into our raids and he has been very sucessful with them, and he doesnt need to be schedueling additional nights for groups to finish as he has more than enough on his plate. If you would like to go back in with your group then by all means do so but you are responsible for setting it up.
As for high level alts getting "Geared Up": I am one of the people who has alts that run in multiple raids during the week. Usually all of my alts arent scheduled, but they almost always end up going. The reason is there is almost always a no show to a raid. Problems come up in peoples lives and they cant always attend when scheduled. Make yourself available to them if you are not previously scheduled and want to raid. Just be on around the start of the raid, do some dailies or farm some mats, if they dont need you then log. Im also going to mention that, as rogannon has stated, all of the people running their alts are doing it so that they can help the guild. Some of them dont even want to hear the word Kara anymore, as they are that sick of it, but when nobody steps up, they continue to run to help the guild. There are many people with Alts that do this, and they should be thanked for helping rather than berated. Again as Rog has stated we have had an ongoing problem with people going into Kara, getting geared then leaving which puts us right back where we started trying to get our guildmates geared up so that they can have fun too. Understand that gearing up is also up to you. Get heroics going, get crafted weapons, and do quests to get geared to a minimum standard for the raids.
Just a small list of the Guild Members that use their alts to HELP the guild progress, and for some of them take time out of their lives and gametime to raid MULTIPLE times to help the guild not to enhance their playtime.
(forgive me if i miss names, its early here) Rogannon Manindress and Lowrog Rinden and Feldin Drakepriest, Drakeforge, Silentkillz, Afflicthis Avane and wisperla Triyn,Dirath,Luianna and now Dynnistruluv and hoosurmoma (yes all of them have been used this last week, and i would have been happy to give up my spot if someone wanted to take it) Allykat, Predetorz, Xtasee and holduthere Healidon and lafitoldya (or however you spell it lol)
This is just a few, and i know for a fact i missed a bunch and im sorry if i didnt list you as you deserve as much thanks as anyone. Im just writing this on the fly and havent had the chance to research my point. There are others who help with their mains who are also way past KZ gear wise but do it to help out the guild.
Please consider these things before attacking people about the above listed subjects. If you have a problem with an aspect of the raiding i would appriciate it if you would bring it to the attention of a raid officer or myself before listing in in a forum so that we can get the issue address in a more private manner. I log on to Triyn nearly everyday, so please send the mail to him
John
Ps- sorry for my spelling errors...im about the worst speller on the planet
ok np ty i was hoping u would say that i will be trying a late night za run that i will lead, i guess.if any one is wanting to try the frist 4 boss in za in a 12 am run, in game mail me on MUFNMAN so i know what we are looking at,we will shot for a 12 am fri into sat.
Cloud, I don't know if ill be able to help out more than 2 raid nights a week. It all depends. Ill be on for tues/wed raids if i can get in to a raid group. If other tanks need gearing up and put into a raid group over bigcal, Ill be happy o do a run at ZA. I need to be spending the time with the family as I did the last couple days. 25 mans is a priority raid for me as its new content to learn and master for me.
Ok I'll throw may 2 cents in. What rogannon has done over the last months is exceptional work, and I seriously doubt that anyone else here would have done it for this long without trying to walk out a 10 story window. Even though there a alot of folks in this guild that are real self starters, that seen to come to a screeking halt when it come to raid planing. He and Triyn are right, there is nothing stopping 10 guildies doing a "throw together raid". How do you think the 1st players to go there learned the raid,Trail and Error. We for the most part have become very dependant on others (and I include myself in that lot) to lead the way and show us the ropes, which is a fine and noble thing for them to do. But you make the times listed and you really what to raid, Then make a post for a time and see if and hook up with others. I sure Triyn and Rogannon wouldn't seeing the in the off topic section. List it as a "Help Wanted"
I personally will be following the suggestion made by Triyn, be there if they need you. Your willingness to jump it the last minute to get the raid going says alot, and that way the ALT's can have the night off. Rogannon asked me last week to help in Gruul's but the skill he needed me for I thought I wasn't good enough and would hurt their raid. I wanted to go, but I knew I wasn't up for it. But the main point is, I was there, and they called. they didn't reach for someones Alt. They went looking for a guildies main 1st.
